Bulgaria learned the five cities for the 2027 Women's World Cup

Montreal and Quebec City will be the Canadian hosts of the 2027 Women's World Cup, in which the Bulgarian national team will also participate. FIVB and Volleyball Canada officially announced the selection of the two cities on October 1. Thus, all five hosts of the tournament are now known. The group stage and round of 16 will be played in Montreal, Quebec City, Omaha, and Orlando, while the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final will be in Anaheim.
The matches in Canada will be held at the Bell Centre in Montreal and the Videotron Centre in Quebec City. In the USA, the first part of the tournament will be at the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha and the Kia Center in Orlando, and the decisive phase – at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
The World Cup will take place from August 20 to September 5, 2027, with the participation of 32 national teams. Bulgaria has already secured a spot in the tournament through the world ranking.
The competition will also have direct significance for Olympic qualification for Los Angeles 2028, with the three highest-ranked teams without an Olympic quota receiving direct visas for the Games.
From 2027, FIVB will use the new official name FIVB Volleyball World Cup for the former World Championship.
Exactly where Bulgaria will play will become clear after the groups are determined. Volleyball Canada announced that they will be revealed in mid-October.
The tournament will be the first of this rank for women held in North America. The USA and Canada were chosen as joint hosts in September 2025.
