Cucine Lube Civitanova has been training with a full squad for a little over two weeks before the start of the new season in the Italian SuperLega.
Captain Fabio Balaso and Mattia Bottolo were the last to join Giampaolo Medei's team. Thus, the coaching staff now has all the volleyball players, including Bulgarian internationals Alex and Moni Nikolov.
Medei's main task in the remaining time until the start of the season is to equalize the physical condition of the players who joined later after their national team commitments with that of the players who started preparations from the very beginning.
No less important will be the team's cohesion. Lube enters the season with serious changes and eight new volleyball players, with the setter duo being completely revamped. One of them is Moni Nikolov, who is starting his first season in the Italian SuperLega.
Lube's next test is on Sunday, October 4th. At 5:30 PM local time, the team will face Cisterna Volley at PalaCarapica in San Severino Marche.
The friendly match is part of the final stage of preparation before the official start of the season. On October 10th and 11th, Lube will also participate in the strong Jesi Volley Cup tournament, and the first championship match is on October 17th at 6:00 PM as a guest of Rana Verona.
