Our national men's U20 team starts its preparation for the Balkan Championship and European Championship

The national team formen under 20gathers today. The team, led byMiroslav Zhivkov, will participate in the Balkan (August 12-16) and European (August 26 – September 7) Championships.
The expanded squad includes 20 players, who today must undergo functional tests at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" in Sofia, and from Tuesday (June 25) will continuetheir preparation in Plovdiv.The team will travel to France (July 30 – August 4), where our young "lions" will playfour friendly matches– three against the French team and one against Poland. More friendly matches are planned and will be announced at a later stage.

The Men's European Championship will be held in Serbia and Greece. Our team will face Italy, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Israel, Scotland, and host Greece in Group II in Arta (Epirus). From the group stage, only the first two teams in the final standings of both groups qualify (based on the following criteria: matches won, ranking points (*3-0 or 3-1 (3 points), 3-2 (2 pts.), 2-3 (1 pt.), 1-3 or 0-3 (0 pts.), set ratio, point ratio, head-to-head result). The first and second placed teams in one pool play cross-matches in direct elimination against the other two in the second pool. In Group I, which will be held in Vrnjačka Banja (Serbia), are the teams of Poland, France, Turkey, Finland, Ukraine, Latvia, Austria, and host Serbia.

The Balkan Championship, which is from August 12 to 16, will be held in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia. There, we are in Group C along with Greece and North Macedonia. 9 teams are participating.
