President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the Turkish women's national volleyball team, which won a silver medal at the FIVB World Championship 2025.

Erdoğan congratulated the athletes and emphasized that the country is now looking towards the next big goals: the European Championship in 2026 (Turkey is hosting the competition, editor's note) and the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

"Our goal is the European and Olympic titles. We are proud of you and believe that you will turn this success into even greater victories," said the head of state, as quoted by the Turkish media.

During the meeting, the team presented the president with a jersey signed by all national team players.
