The young Bulgarian attacker is one of the rising talents in international volleyball: "Grottazzolina is a fundamental step in my career"
Grottazzolina – after the arrival of the 2001-born middle blocker Comparoni from Monza, the rejuvenation of Yuasa Battery continues, and with a view to next season in SuperLega, they have truly made a great gift to themselves by beating exceptional competition, with Georgi Tatarov arriving in Fermo, reports the websitescuolapallavolo.it.
The young outside hitter Tatarov, already established in the Bulgarian men's national team, arrives at his new club after two years of international experience behind him – in Turkey and France. The modest native of Kardzhali and Arda youth academy graduate subsequently revealed his potential at the CSKA academy and representative team, from where he moved to the Turkish Altekma, and most recently to the French Narbonne, where he was again an irreplaceable starter.
Taking on the role of a versatile attacker, he also played as an opposite in the youth national team, achieving a number of successes with Bulgaria and winning numerous medals at Balkan, European, and World Championships.
Still competing in the Nations League with his national team, where he plays as a starter and demonstrates excellent qualities, Tatarov can't wait to start this new adventure in the strongest league in the world: "I am really happy to play in Grottazzolina next season and I am proud of the trust this historic community has placed in me. When I learned of the club's interest in me, I didn't hesitate for a moment – for a young man like me, to compete with the greatest in the world is a huge opportunity. I can't wait to test myself and compete in the best league in the world! I hope I can show my qualities and I will do my best to make it happen – to give great support to the team and to climb as high as possible in the championship."
A team that, as it turns out, is very intriguing for the young Bulgarian talent: "I don't know my future teammates personally, but many of them are well-known champions in the world of volleyball, and I met others on the court as opponents in the Nations League and in the French championship. A lot depends on what we show as volleyball qualities, so that everyone can see the best we are capable of" – Tatarov continued with his comment.
Extremely pleased with the conditions, with the city that will host him, he can't wait to meet the fans who are waiting for him: "I know I am arriving in a very beautiful and welcoming region, I can't wait to get to know it, visit it, and meet the fans, who I already know are very warm and close to the team. We will need them a lot – I really hope they will be with us!" – Georgi Tatarov concluded his interview.
We wish Goro success in his new adventure
