The champion and winner of the Italian Cup, Sir Susa Vim (Perugia), defended its Super Cup trophy in this year's edition of the tournament. Angelo Lorenzetti's boys made a comeback and narrowly defeated Itas (Trento) with a score of 3:2 (25:18, 19:25, 15:25, 25:17, 15:9) in the tournament final, played at the 'PalaWanny' hall in Florence.

Thus, Perugia managed to defend its trophy for the 3rd consecutive year, and won the Italian Super Cup for the 5th time in the last 6 years and for the 6th time overall in its history.

Trento's volleyball players failed to win their 5th such final. The Trentino team has 3 Super Cups in its display cabinet, the last one being from 2021, when Matey Kaziyski was still playing for the team.

The most effective player for Perugia was Japan's national team member Yuki Ishikawa, who finished the match with 20 points (2 blocks, 1 ace, 47% attack efficiency, and 26% positive reception - +3). Ishikawa was also named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the final.

Kamil Semeniuk added 15 points for the victory (1 block, 2 aces, 55% attack efficiency, and 46% positive reception - +5), and Wassim Ben Tara 14 (2 blocks, 2 aces, and 50% attack efficiency).

Gabi Garcia scored an impressive 24 points (1 block, 3 aces, and 59% attack efficiency - +12). Brazilian national player Flavio Gualberto added another 12 (6 blocks!). Alessandro Michieletto contributed 11 (1 block, 2 aces).

Nikola Grbić was once again in the hall, and for the first time, the coach of the 'Squadra Azzurra', Fefè De Giorgi, also came.
