A new Bulgarian will try out for the V-League draft in Korea.

A new Bulgarian is among the candidates for the Korean V-League. DEYA's outside hitter Tsvetelin Tsvetanov is included in the extended list for the KOVO international draft, which will take place from May 7 to 10 in Prague.
A total of 84 male players have submitted applications, and after selection by the clubs, only 25 will be invited to the final tryout, with only six signing contracts in the South Korean league.
Among the candidates are a number of familiar names from European leagues. The list includes Czech opposite Patrik Indra, German star Georg Grozer, as well as Argentinian Pablo Kukartsev (Lube, teammate of Alex Nikolov) and setter Jan Zimmermann (Monza, teammate of Zhasmin Velichkov), marking the first time in the tryout's history that a player in this position has been invited.
There is also a significant presence of players who have competed in the Bulgarian league. Among them are Kristian Walczak (a Montana player), Bradley Gunter (Hebar), as well as Jesse DeLancey (Beroe) and Erion Bajrami (DEYA).
Thus, a total of four volleyball players who played this season in efbet Super Volley – Bajrami, DeLancey, Walczak, and Tsvetanov – have found a place in the extended draft list.
Tsvetanov had a solid season with DEYA, recording 227 points in 19 matches, and the team reached the quarterfinals, where they were eliminated by Neftochimic.
According to KOVO regulations, players who competed in the V-League during the season can submit applications within 7 days after the end of the championship to continue their participation. This option will likely be used by Bulgarian national player Dimitar Dimitrov, who had a very strong season, finishing with 667 points and becoming the 7th top scorer in the regular season.

The Korean league continues to attract the interest of leading players due to high remunerations, which reach up to $400,000 for the first season and $550,000 for each subsequent season.
