Ivan Stanev, the current head coach of Neftochimic, is among the candidates for a new selector in Bulgaria's junior formations, learnedvolleyweek.bg. He has submitted documents for one of the positions announced by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.
The Federation is looking for coaches for three national teams – men's U20 (born 2008/2009), men's U17 (2010/2011), and women's U20 (2008/2009).
This summer, the new coaches will have to lead the teams in key tournaments. The U17 national team will participate in a Balkan Championship in Albania (August 4–8) and a World Championship in Doha (August 19–29). The U20 men's team will play a European Championship qualifier in Bulgaria (August 25–29), and the U20 women's team will compete for a spot in a Euro qualifier in Bosnia and Herzegovina (August 19–23).
The application deadline expired on March 16, and the Management Board of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation will review all applications at a meeting on April 3, when the selected coaches will also be announced.
