Doomsday for Dupnitsa volleyball did not come

Borislav Kyosev did not submit documents to the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation for the registration of the municipal volleyball club "Marek" in Dupnitsa, the deadline expired yesterday - according to the website4VLAST.

Volleyball in Dupnitsa is finally dead, the funeral is effectively today!
The newly created club "Marek", founded by the Municipality of Dupnitsa and Borislav Kyosev, as expected, will not even start participating in youth competitions.
At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation today, clubs that submitted documents were accepted as members, but "Marek" is not among them. What's more. The deadline for submitting applications for participation in the various age groups for juniors - boys and girls - expires today, and the championships start next month.

For people in volleyball circles, this is no surprise and a completely expected outcome. The biggest losers in this case, however, are the more than 150 children from the youth academy of "Marek Union-Ivmoni".
The newly established club is not even registered with the Ministry of Possession and Sports, as can be seen from the register on the official website of our sports department.
This is another, completely expected failure for the municipal leadership, which practically showed and proved that it does not want to develop this sport in the city, but also to stop the opportunity for children from the region to practice their favorite sport. Whether their inaction over these 9 months on the issue is intentional, everyone can judge for themselves.
As is known, at the end of last year, the mayor of the municipality expelled the men's team of "Marek Union-Ivmoni" and readily promised to take care of the youth teams and create a municipal club. In January of this year, the club's management decided to move to Plovdiv and change its name, but remained to finish the season in Dupnitsa to ensure the participation of all youth teams in their championships. After the completion of their championships - the people from the club finally left the city. As early as January, the club warned that the Municipality should take immediate action to register a club and license it with the authorities to continue the development of the academy and teams. "Marek Union-Ivmoni" even gave up 30,000 levs in budget subsidy, which was voted by the Municipal Council to help the future club in starting its activities.

A month ago, the deputy mayor of Dupnitsa proudly announced at a press conference that volleyball would exist, that they had reacted from the very beginning and had come to an agreement with Borislav Kyosev. The manager of "Lokomotiv Avia" announced that they would provide the competitive rights of absolutely all children to the new club free of charge, which Kyosev also confirmed to the media.
It is obvious, however, that everything was just media smoke, with no real intentions to maintain at least an academy, and in the end, the children are the losers.
