PASAY CITY, PHILIPPINESFormer youth international and silver medalist from the 2010 European Championship in Belarus, Borislav Georgiev, who currently plays for Qatar, came to the hall in Pasay City to support his compatriots. He did this immediately after his team's match against Romania, in which the Asians recorded their first victory at a World Finals.
Georgiev chatted with the boys, staying longest with Martin Atanasov, whose volleyball career began at "Slavia," where Borislav also trained. Interestingly, the setter had played against Atanasov's father.

The Qatari international also stopped to talk with Stoil Palev, whom he knows from "Levski," as whenever he is in Bulgaria, he maintains his form with the "Blues."
