13 teams will participate in the new season of the volleyball Super League

13 teams will participate in the new season of the Bulgarian Volleyball Super League. 14 clubs had submitted applications for participation, but the team of "Slivnishki Geroy" subsequently withdrew. The championship will start on the weekend of November 2-3. "We discussed the upcoming season with our colleagues. We decided to start one week later than the planned October 26-27, because of the parliamentary elections, and the fact that some of the clubs' home halls are engaged in the election process. We are keeping the regulations for the regular season matches, namely - to meet once, with the host being determined based on the number according to the Berger system. i.e. we have 12 rounds in the regular season," explained Zhivko Zhelev, president of the NVL (men). "We jointly looked for options for the subsequent stage, namely the playoffs, so as to keep a sufficient number of matches, maintain intrigue until the end, and not weigh too heavily on club budgets. The first two teams in the regular season standings will join at the semi-final playoff level, teams from 3rd to 10th place will participate to reach the semi-finals, and the last 3 teams will have additional matches between themselves. The team ranked 13th is relegated, 12th will play a playout with the loser of the "A" NVG final, and 11th retains its place. The winner of the Super League goes directly to Efbet Super Volley, the loser will play a playoff with the penultimate team from the elite, as before," added Zhelev.

All playoff matches will be played in 2 games with a "golden set", as before.

The draw is yet to be made, after which the schedule for the entire championship will be created.
