Tourcoing lost a valuable point while hosting Sète, despite leading 2-0 in sets, but still managed to secure a 3-2 (25:21, 25:15, 17:25, 19:25, 15:11) victory after a tie-break in a French league match. The game was played in the "Pierre Dumortier" hall in front of 1125 spectators.
The hosts started confidently and controlled the first two sets, winning them 25:21 and 25:15. After that, however, Sète significantly improved the quality of their serving and blocking, which led to a partial comeback.
A key moment occurred in the fourth set when, with excellent defense from Veni Antov, the score became 17:18, and shortly after, 19:19. Instead of closing the set, Tourcoing conceded six unanswered points after the visitors intensified their serve and block, and the set ended precisely with a successful block for 19:25.
The decisive set started better for Tourcoing – 2:0 and 4:2, with Antov immediately scoring an attack for 5:2 after good defense. Sète narrowed the gap to 6:5, but the hosts led 8:6 at the side change. A series of missed serves into the net followed, and after a block, the score became 11:8.
Match point came again after balls saved in defense by Veni Antov and a successful counter-attack, with the final point scored after a pipe attack for the ultimate 15:11.
Match MVP: Ignacio Luengas – 24 points

Veni Antov finished second in scoring with 19 points, a +7 efficiency rating, 1 block, and 53% attack efficiency.
The lost point dropped Tourcoing to third place in the standings. The team showed character in the tie-break, but fluctuations in the third and fourth sets, especially in reception and blocking against Sète's aggressive serve, deprived the hosts of a clean 3-0 victory.
