Giuseppe Bosetti started working with the youth in VC Maritsa

The female volleyball players from the Maritsa (Plovdiv) children and youth academy held their first training sessions after the summer break under the guidance of their coaches, the new director of the academy - Italian specialist Giuseppe Bosetti, and the legend of Bulgarian volleyball, Ani Uzunova.
The sessions are held in the hall of the Vasil Levski Sports School, with the young talents and their coaches eagerly absorbing the experience and advice of one of the most successful coaches on the Italian and European youth scene.

Professor Bosetti, who was officially introduced as the director of the children and youth department of Maritsa at the beginning of June this year, is considered the guru of junior volleyball in Italy. Besides being a multiple champion at club and national level and a European champion with Italy, for the last five years he was the director of the VakifBank (Istanbul) academy.
His assistant, Ani Uzunova, is the most successful female volleyball player in the history of Maritsa (Plovdiv), having achieved remarkable successes with the Bulgarian national team - a bronze medal from the Olympic Games in Moscow (Russia) in 1980, and gold and bronze medals from European Championships in 1981 and 1979 respectively.
Nearly 300 children, divided into different age groups, are developing their volleyball skills at the Maritsa (Plovdiv) academy. This year they will be led by coaches Dian Boyukliev, Atanaska Nikiforova, Petya Stamatova, Miglena Strezova, Kristina Yakimova, Kristian Iliev, Stela Ilieva, Aneta Petrova, and Simona Krasteva.
Svetlana Isaeva-Leseva and Anton Grudov will be responsible for the conditioning, and Petar Karadzhov will take care of the female volleyball players' health.
