Another volleyball player from the VC Maritsa (Plovdiv) academy, Diyana Borisova, will get a chance in the new season and will be part of the women's team for the first time in the 2024-2025 campaign.

Diyana Borisova plays as an outside hitter and has played in the women's volleyball elite, on loan to Maritsa 2022 (Plovdiv), where she played for the last two seasons.

The young volleyball player has three titles with Maritsa's U19 girls - in seasons 2023-2024, 2022-2023, and 2021-2022.

She has been part of national teams in various age groups, including the U16 team that won a bronze medal at the European Championship in 2021. In 2022, she won a silver medal at the Balkan Championship with the U17 national team.

Diyana Borisova becomes the champions' 14th volleyball player for the new season, joining Zhana Todorova, Borislava Saykova, Dobrina Hristoskova, Viktoria Koeva, Iva Dudova, Lora Slavcheva, Margarita Guncheva, Mila Pashkuleva, Boryana Angelova, Vanessa Agbortabi, Aleksandra Kitipova, Yoana Dokova, and Ralina Doshkova.
