Milan begins the countdown to the decisive battles of the 2026 Men's European Volleyball Championship.
On Thursday, September 3, at 3:30 PM local time (4:30 PM Bulgarian time) in the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, a special clock will be unveiled, which will count down the remaining time until the final phase of EuroVolley 2026.

Milan will host the last and most important matches of the championship. The semifinals and medal matches will be played on September 25 and 26 at the Unipol Forum in Assago.
The official ceremony will be attended by the President of the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), Giuseppe Manfredi. Among the guests will also be the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, the President of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the President of CONI Lombardy, Marco Riva.
They will be joined by FIPAV Ambassador Matteo Piano – a former Italian national player and silver medalist from the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
The event in the heart of Milan will symbolically kick off the countdown until the moment the four best teams of EuroVolley 2026 arrive in Italy for the distribution of medals.
Interestingly, just one day after Milan, a similar clock will be launched in Sofia. On September 4, in Sveta Nedelya Square, a large volleyball with a clock counting down the time until the start of the championship will be unveiled. The Bulgarian capital will host the matches from Group B, four round of 16 matches, and two quarter-finals, before EuroVolley 2026 moves to Milan for the decisive battles.
