Boyan Yordanov and Tomislav Rusev strengthened Greek team Pegasos Polichnis, with the former national opposite officially presented today.
"Pegasos Polichnis is pleased to announce the signing of experienced Bulgarian opposite Boyan Yordanov, significantly strengthening the team for the upcoming volleyball season. Boyan Yordanov, also known as "Bobby", is one of the leading opposites with many years of experience at a high level. He has played for teams such as Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, EA Patras, Kifisia, as well as Milonas, and his last team was in Cyprus.
Yordanov's presence brings quality, experience, and leadership to the Pegasos squad, strengthening the team's attack.
Regarding the start of his collaboration with Pegasos Polichnis, Bobby shared: "I am very happy to be part of the team. I have always been curious to see what it's like to play in Thessaloniki and here it is, it happened. I know that the situation in the standings is not so good, but I hope to help with my experience. We don't have time to prepare, but I wish all my teammates to be healthy and together we can create a good atmosphere."
"We welcome Boyan Yordanov to our team and wish him health and much success!", concludes the club's official announcement.
Meanwhile, Pegasos found the ideal solution to fill the void left by Apostolos Armenakis, who is moving to Olympiacos. This refers to young Bulgarian international Tomislav Rusev, who was part of the Milona squad, to be used as the fifth foreigner in Europe.
After Milona's European commitments ended, Rusev was left without playing time, as the four foreign player slots were filled, so he decided to accept Pegasos' offer.
Pegasus Polichnis also announced a new head coach, Serbian Dejan Vulicevic, who will debut at the helm of the team in the match against PAOK on Sunday, February 2.
