Levski with an official statement regarding the racist chants during the eternal derby

VC "Levski Sofia" strongly condemns the acts of aggression against players and the racist chants targeting our competitor Livan Osoria, according to an official statement by the "Blues" published on the club's website.

"Such actions are unacceptable and cast a shameful stain on our beloved sport. Fans of "Levski" and CSKA have repeatedly proven that they can turn any match into an incredible sports celebration, without undermining the personal dignity of the competitors.

The matches from last season's final series should serve as an example, when both fan groups adhered to fair play. It is our responsibility to be an example for society and especially for the young.

At VC "Levski Sofia" we have a mission, in addition to building champions on the court, to educate and create successful individuals and good people in life. We believe that the behavior of fans is an integral part of this process. And because of this, we cannot remain indifferent to acts of aggression and discrimination.

And if sport unites in the name of a better future for our entire society, we believe that everyone should stand together against vices. We call for timely and adequate measures to be taken, and for fans - let them support their teams, observing fair play.

Let us together take care of preserving the good image of the most successful team sport in Bulgaria - volleyball, in the name of a good present and future for Bulgarian children!" concludes Levski Sofia's statement.
