Levski's men with a second victory in the control matches against Beroe, the ladies defeated TPVK

Levski Sofia men's team won their second friendly match against Beroe in preparation for the Bulgarian Cup finals. In Stara Zagora, the champions, led by head coach Nikolay Zhelyazkov, defeated the hosts 4:1 (25:20, 25:19, 17:25, 25:18, 15:6). Again, by agreement between the two coaching staffs, 5 sets were played, with the last one being a tie-break. In the first friendly yesterday, the "blues" won 3:2 against Beroe.
Today, Todor Skrimov was the top scorer with 18 points, 11 of which came from serves and 1 from a block. Vladimir Garkov and Julius Firkal added 14 and 13 points, respectively.
Only our captain Svetoslav Gotsev was rested, and all other 13 volleyball players in the squad participated in the friendly match.
On January 10, Levski will play their first official match in 2025 against Pirin (Razlog) in Burgas. The match is from the quarter-final phase of the Bulgarian Cup tournament.
Meanwhile, in a friendly played in Levski Sofia Hall, coach Radoslav Arsov's players defeated TPVK 3:2 (21:25, 25:20, 23:25, 25:2.15, 15:10). The most impressive performance was by Mikaela Stoyanova, who finished with 31 points (4 aces, 3 blocks). Maria Zlatanova recorded 14 points, while Tsvetomira Mitkova and Ivanina Malinova added 9 each.
The friendly is part of the preparation for the Bulgarian Cup Final Four. It will take place in Levski Sofia Hall next weekend, with the "blues" facing Dea Sport in the semifinals.
