Levski Sofia's team could not stand up to last year's Champions League finalist JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel and lost 0:3 (17:25, 18:25, 17:25) in their away game, the first match of the group stage. The match finished in just over an hour, with Venislav Antov being our best performer, finishing with 14 points and 56% attacking efficiency.
Todor Skrimov and Julius Firkal added 7 points each. Only at the beginning of the third set did the Sofia team show some bite against their renowned opponent, but their strength was only enough to lead 9:8, after which the Polish team took what was theirs.
Towards the end of the set, Viktor Zhekova briefly came in for Stoil Palev.
Norbert Huber finished with 13 points, another Polish international Lukasz Kaczmarek with 12. Tomasz Fornal added another 8 points for the hosts' emphatic victory.

Norbert Huber was named MVP.
Levski's next match is on November 20 against SVG LÜNEBURG in Sofia.
