Imoco Conegliano once again made history in Italian women's volleyball. The "Panthers" secured their ninth title in their history
– and eighth consecutive
– after closing out the final series against Milano with a decisive 3:0 (25:17, 25:22, 25:22) victory in the fourth match, making it 3:1 wins overall.
The decisive clash at "Allianz Cloud" was under the control of Daniele Santarelli's team. Conegliano dictated its rhythm from the very beginning, maintained a lead in every set, and prevented any comebacks, thus closing the series without undue pressure.
The key factor in the final match was Isabelle Haak, who scored 19 points with 51% attack efficiency and was logically named MVP of the finals. Gabi added 11 points, Sarah Fahr finished with 8, and the consistency in reception and defense, spearheaded by Monica De Gennaro, once again made the difference.
For Milano, Paola Egonu was the top scorer with 24 points but lacked sufficient support, despite Lanier contributing 13. Serbian middle blocker Hena Kurtagic recorded 4 points.
The match statistics also underscored Conegliano's superiority
– more blocks (3 against 1) and more consistent play in crucial moments, despite the close scores in the second and third sets.
With this success, Conegliano not only defended its title but also solidified one of the strongest periods in modern volleyball. The club now holds 9 titles, surpassing Bergamo (8), and stands alone in second place in the all-time ranking, behind Teodora Ravenna (11).
The trophy collection is indicative
– 9 titles, 8 Italian Cups, 8 Supercups, 3 Champions Leagues, and 3 World Club titles
– a total of 31 accolades. This is dominance that extends far beyond the borders of Italy.
However, the season does not conclude here. The next stop is Istanbul for the Champions League Final Four
– a new opportunity for Conegliano to further solidify its place among the greatest in history.
