Banka Macerata lost to the Serie A2 league leader Tinet Prata with a score of 1:3 (17:25, 25:23, 20:25, 24:26), despite strong attempts at a comeback, led by national team players Denis Karyagin and Rusi Zhelev.

Bulgarian outside hitter Karyagin finished with 12 points, and Zhelev added 7, but their efforts were not enough against the class and stability of the visitors, who are currently playing some of the strongest volleyball in Serie A2.

Macerata managed to equalize after strong block play in the second set, but Prata regained control with powerful serving and better attacking efficiency. The fourth set was the most dramatic, where the hosts reached 24:24, but a decisive block against Zhelev ended their hopes.

Terpin was outstanding in the match with 20 points, and the defeat leaves Macerata with 24 points in the standings.
