Beroe continued their rise and left no chance for Dunav in Stara Zagora

Beroe 2016 (Stara Zagora) solidified their good run in efbet Super Volley, after decisively defeating Dunav (Ruse) at home with a 3:0 (25:21, 25:15, 25:21) in a match from the 15th round.

With this success, "the green-whites" recorded their eighth victory since the start of the season and continue to hold a stable place in the top five of the standings. Dunav, on the other hand, remains in a difficult situation, pinned to the bottom with only one victory.

The first set started surprisingly strong for the guests, who took an early lead, but the Stara Zagora team gradually found their rhythm and in the key rallies imposed their will, taking the set 25:21.

In the second set, Beroe completely dictated the tempo – stable serving, fewer errors, and strong blocking made the difference, while Dunav failed to respond to the pressure – 25:15.

The third set offered more intrigue, after the Ruse team managed to equalize around the middle, but in the decisive moments, the hosts once again showed greater class and closed out the match with 25:21.

Velizar Chernokozhev was the top scorer for Beroe with 14 points, while Alex Nikolov from Dunav was once again the most dangerous player for his team with 16.

In the next round, Beroe will play away against champion Levski, while Dunav will seek a chance for points against Lokomotiv-Avia.
