Strong Dimitrov and Valchinov, but Corsaro Ravenna stopped in the semi-finals of the Italian Cup

Corsar Ravenna was eliminated in the Italian Cup semifinals after losing as a guest to Abba Pineto with 1:3 sets (22:25, 26:24, 22:25, 22:25). With the exception of the second set, Ravenna's volleyball players could not resist the more disciplined and concentrated hosts, who controlled the development of the match and did not allow a comeback until the end, despite the strong individual performances of the main point-scorers of the guests.

Above all in the match was the Bulgarian national Hristiyan Dimitrov, who finished with 21 points, a +12 coefficient, 1 block, and an impressive 67% attack efficiency.
The other Bulgarian in Ravenna's squad, Samuil Vulchinov, added 12 points, +3, 2 blocks, 42% in attack, as well as 60% positive and 33% perfect reception.

Manuel Zlatanov also performed well with 17 points, but even this was not enough for victory.

On Pineto's side, four players finished with double-digit points, which proved decisive for the final outcome.

The balanced distribution of points in Pineto's squad clearly demonstrates the collective strength of the hosts. Four players with double-digit scores maximized the difficulty for Ravenna's block and defense, which could not focus on one or two main attackers.

Ravenna relied mainly on three names in attack, with Dimitrov again being the leader and the most stable element. However, the lack of a broader scoring contribution proved crucial against Pineto's well-organized squad.

In the other semifinal, Tinet Prata di Pordenone defeated Gruppo Consoli Sferc Brescia with 3:1 sets (25:18, 20:25, 25:22, 25:17). Thus, Prata and Pineto will contend for the trophy in the tournament's final, and for Tinet, this will be their second consecutive final for the Italian Cup – a true achievement for the team.
