Bulgarian international Emileta Racheva continues her career in the Russian Super League. The 27-year-old outside hitter joined Omichka (Omsk) at the end of October, after defending the colors of Serbian Železničar (Lajkovac) last season.
The transfer was announced on October 25, when Racheva arrived in Omsk. The Bulgarian player was brought in with the idea of strengthening the attack of the Russian team, which has been experiencing serious difficulties since the beginning of the championship.
In the 2025/26 season, Racheva played for Železničar (Lajkovac), with whom she also participated in the group stage of the Champions League. Before her stay in Serbia, she competed for Hungarian Ujpest (2024/25), and in the 2023/24 season, she wore the CSKA jersey. Her career also includes stints with French teams Amiens and Saint-Chamond, as well as Bulgarian teams Lokomotiv, Rakovski, and Slavia.
The 184-centimeter tall outside hitter has been part of the Bulgarian national team since 2024 and has participated in the Nations League and the European Championship in 2026.
Upon her arrival in Russia, Racheva did not hide her satisfaction with the new challenge.
"I dreamed of playing in Russia. In my opinion, this is one of the best and strongest championships in the world. I followed the Russian championship," the Bulgarian told the local publication BK55.
Racheva pointed to her attack as one of her strongest qualities and expressed readiness to help her new team.
Upon announcing the transfer, Omichka stated that the Bulgarian international would undergo medical examinations and complete registration documents.
Thus, the Bulgarian international continues to await her debut for Omichka, whose next match is on November 8 against Uralochka-NTMK.
