"Lokomotiv Avia" passed through Varna express and remained leader

"Lokomotiv Avia" secured a decisive away victory against "Cherno More" in Varna, prevailing 3:0 (25:16, 25:21, 25:19) in a match from the 14th round of efbet Super Volley. The match concluded in just over an hour, and the success kept the Plovdiv team at the top of the provisional standings.

Right from the start, the "black and whites" showed they had a clear objective and set a serious pace. In the first set, they pulled ahead early, and after 10:3, left no doubt as to who controlled the action on the court – the set concluded at 25:16.

The second set also went according to plan for the visitors. After 9:4, "Lokomotiv Avia" maintained stability in their play, didn't allow the hosts to get dangerously close, and closed the set 25:21 to take a 2:0 lead.

The most intrigue was in the third set, when the Varna team took a 5:3 lead, but the crucial run came at a moment when a quick reaction was needed. Ivaylo Damyanov became the key figure – he scored 4 consecutive points (2 blocks and 2 successful attacks), turning the score to 5:9, and from then on, the Plovdiv team reasserted control and finished the match 25:19.

Vlad Stankov's team was very concentrated and stable in all elements, and in the third set, players who less frequently receive playing time also appeared on the court.

Damyanov was the top scorer in the match with 12 points (3 blocks, 1 ace), and was deservedly chosen as MVP. Zhulien Georgiev also made a strong contribution and finished with 10 points.

In the next round, "Lokomotiv Avia" will play at home, hosting CSKA in Plovdiv on February 7.
