BOGDANKA LUK Lublin officially announced that three key players from their championship squad – Kevin Sasak, Wilfredo León, and setter Marcin Komenda – will continue to play for the club through the 2026/2027 season. The decision to retain these crucial players follows a historic year for the team, which saw them win the Polish title, the CEV Challenge Cup, and the AL-KO Supercup.

Despite this display of stability and ambition, a significant uncertainty continues to loom over the team: whether the captain of the Bulgarian national team, Alex Grozdanov, will remain in Lublin.
In recent weeks, reports have emerged that the middle blocker is attracting interest from Massimo Botti – the former head coach of the champions, who currently leads Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. The Italian is well-acquainted with Grozdanov's qualities and, according to media reports, sees him as a player who could strengthen his new project in Rzeszów.

The club has not yet commented on the situation, and the fact that Grozdanov's name was not among those whose contracts were extended only heightens the tension surrounding his future. For a team aiming to solidify its status as a leading force in Polish volleyball, the potential departure of the Bulgarian national player would signify a significant shift in the squad's balance.
While fans celebrate Sasak, León, and Komenda remaining with the team, the biggest mystery in Lublin remains unsolved: will Alex Grozdanov continue to be part of the club's golden project, or will a new challenge in Rzeszów tempt him to take a different path?
