Dunav (Ruse) continues its selection for the 2026/2027 season in Winbet Supervolley. The new addition to the Ruse team is the young middle blocker Konstantin Stoykov, who comes from the Cherno More BASC academy.
After Cherno More withdrew from participating in the Bulgarian volleyball elite, some of the players from the Varna club are already starting to find new teams for the upcoming season.
One of them is Konstantin Stoykov, who will continue his development at Dunav. The volleyball player, born in Varna in 2006, is 197 centimeters tall and plays as a middle blocker. He is a youth product of Cherno More BASC.
"We present Konstantin Stoykov, who will wear our jersey in the new season. The VC Dunav team wishes him many victories and good health," announced the Ruse club.
Stoykov is the latest new name in Dunav's selection for the 2026/2027 season.
So far, the Ruse team has attracted Latvian international setter Markus Vensbergs, opposite hitter Aleksandar Shopov, and setter Viktor Marinov.
Captain Angel Pavlov, Lyubcho Yankov, Simeon Dobrev, and Hristo Kostov remain in the team. The only 16-year-old middle blocker Kan Dobrudzhan will also get a chance in the men's squad.
Atanas Mitev also remains at Dunav, and in addition to being registered as a libero, he will also have a new role in the staff. He will be responsible for physical conditioning and will be one of head coach Krasimir Mironov's assistants.
It is Mironov who will lead Dunav in the 2026/2027 season. He returns to head the representative team after leading the Ruse team to the Higher League title and promotion to the elite in the 2023/2024 season. Back then, Dunav had an impressive campaign with 25 wins in 25 official matches.
