Former Neftochimic 2010 captain Axel Truhtchev will continue his career in Dubai. The 31-year-old French outside hitter with Bulgarian roots has been included in Al Nasr's squad for the 2026/27 season.
Truhtchev is well-known to the Bulgarian public. He played for Neftochimic during the 2022/23 and 2024/25 seasons, becoming Bulgarian champion during his first stint in Burgas, and captaining the team during his second.
Last season, the Frenchman played consecutively for Greek club Foinikas Syros and Polish club Stal Nysa. In Poland, Truhtchev had a strong period, recording 21 points in his debut for Stal and being named MVP.
After European championships in Bulgaria, Greece, and Poland, the career of the Saint-Martin-born outside hitter now continues in the United Arab Emirates, where he will defend the colors of Al Nasr in the new season.
