Tours VB volleyball club wrote a new golden page in its history, winning its tenth title in the French championship. The convincing 3-0 victory at home against Poitiers in the final rematch (29-27, 25-21, 25-17) brought the trophy to the Tours team, their second in the last three seasons. With this achievement, Tours drew level with AS Cannes in the all-time ranking of French men's volleyball in terms of titles.
Tours VB has won all its championship honors in the 21st century, solidifying its position as a dominant force over the past two decades. The current success is even more significant, as it comes after last year's disappointment and the lost final against Saint-Nazaire in the golden set after stealing the final rematch (3-2). This time, the team did not leave things for a decisive golden set, as before the home victory, Tours VB also won the first final match in Poitiers with 3-1.
The road to the title was not easy, especially after a slow start to the season and numerous injuries. Nevertheless, as coach Marcelo Fronckowiak stated, "The team never gave up. This jersey weighs a lot and ignites sparks." The key proved to be winning the first set in the final rematch, which gave confidence to the team and put enormous pressure on the opponent.

One of the greatest Bulgarian volleyball players – Vladimir Nikolov – also left a bright mark in this club with a remarkable history. His name is forever associated with Tours VB's successes during one of the club's strongest periods. The Bulgarian opposite was part of the Tours VB team that triumphed with the French title in the 2003/2004 season. Nikolov's contribution to the French club is not limited to this title alone. He was also a key figure in Tours VB's historic triumph in the Champions League in the 2004/2005 season, where he was also named the Most Valuable Player of the final tournament. Furthermore, he won the French Cup and Supercup with the team during the same period.
