Bulgarian national player Radostina Marinova was officially presented as a new addition to the Romanian team Alba Blaj. In the new season, the 27-year-old opposite hitter will defend the colors of the Romanian vice-champion, after playing a strong championship with Dinamo Bucharest, where she finished as the team's top scorer.
In her rich career, Marinova has played for Numia Vero Volley Milano, Kazanlak Volley, Beroe (Stara Zagora), Long Beach State (USA), Jakarta Livin Mandiri (Indonesia), Evreux Volley Ball, Stade Français Paris Saint-Cloud, and Racing Club Cannes. At Alba Blaj, she will once again be teammates with French player Sabine Haewegene, with whom she previously played together at the French club Evreux Volley Ball.
With her transfer, Radostina Marinova continues the Bulgarian trace in one of the most successful clubs in Romanian volleyball. Last season, national player Monika Krusteva wore the Alba Blaj jersey, and now the baton passes to Marinova.

A busy season awaits the Bulgarian player, both on the domestic scene and in Europe. Alba Blaj will participate in the CEV Cup, where they start directly from the Round of 16. The Romanian club is among the most successful teams in the history of the tournament, with three lost finals – in 2019, 2023, and 2025, as well as a semi-final in 2022.
Alba Blaj's ambitions for the new season are to reclaim the championship title in Romania and to make another strong run in European club tournaments. It is with this goal that the club signed Radostina Marinova, who will compete with Italian player Vittoria Piani for a place in the starting lineup.
