Pirin created the sensation of the 15th round, inflicting the first loss on champion Levski this season. This comes after 14 rounds without a loss for the "Blues", who failed to continue this memorable winning streak.
The hosts took a 2:0 lead in the match after two very dramatic sets. In the first set, Pirin was the first to reach set point, with the guests equalizing twice (24:24, 25:25), leading to 26:25, followed by an ace from Nakov, which closed the set. The second set was even more interesting, after Pirin took a 16:11 lead and maintained it almost until the end (21:15, 22:17, 23:20). An equalization to 23:23 followed, with the guests even getting the first set point. Again, two equalizations followed, leading to 27:25 after a single block by Stefanov. A slump in Pirin's ranks followed, with Levski taking the initiative early in the set and not letting go until the end, reducing the hosts' lead to 2:1. The fourth set developed in a similar scenario, with the difference that the hosts managed to equalize at the very end (23:23), but Levski's pressure was greater and after an ace from Palev, the match went into a tie-break.
In the final set, things were 'on the razor's edge' until 7:7, with the hosts being the first to score the eighth point for court change after a block by Kamenkov. It was the block that was Pirin's main weapon in the final part. Thanks to this element, as well as service errors by Levski, the score swelled to 13:9 in favor of the team from Razlog. Until the end of the match, Levski managed to get only one point, and after a block by Manchev and an ace by Kamenkov, the sensation was a fact. Levski recorded their first loss!
Despite the defeat, the "Blues" continue to be unshaken at the top of the table, and the two points won gave Pirin a breather, as they moved to a safe distance from the relegation zone and are ninth in the standings.

Outstanding for the winners was Marian Nakov, who finished with 24 points and 4 aces, followed by his teammate Todor Kamenkov with one less point - 23 (1 ace, 3 blocks).

For the champions, the most prolific scorer was Venislav Antov, who scored the most points in the match - 26 (3 blocks). Vladimir Garkov and Todor Skrimov added 20 and 17 points respectively, but they were not enough for the win.

Pirin's advantage was in blocking, with a ratio of 11/8 in favor of the winners. Pirin also led in aces with 8/6. Reception and attack percentages were also in favor of the hosts.
