Rado Stoychev signs player from French champion

France's champion Saint-Nazaire officially announced on Sunday the departure of American outside hitter Jordan Ewert. He is expected to continue his career in Italy, at Verona, which is under the leadership of Radostin Stoychev.
The final hours of the winter transfer window took Jordan Ewert, who has been with Saint-Nazaire since 2023, to Italy. The American hitter is expected to play for Verona until the end of the season. The departure was at the initiative of the player himself, who stated on the Atlantic club's website that he could not refuse the opportunity to join Serie A.
Ewert played on Saturday in the SpikeLigue and scored 15 points in the loss to Nice (3:2). Saint-Nazaire loses a key player (1.94 meters; 27 years old) before the Champions League playoffs, where they will face Olympiacos, and for the French Cup, where they will play a quarter-final against Ilia Petkov's Toulouse on Tuesday. Ewert played a crucial role in winning the national title last year, the first in the history of the French club.
