Aleksandar Nikolov and Lube Civitanova continued their winning streak, after winning the Italian Cup last weekend, by decisively defeating Groningen in the second quarter-final match for the Challenge Cup. After an hour and 1 minute of play, the scoreboard showed 3:0 (25:16, 25:13, 25:14) in favor of the hosts from Civitanova. Nikolov once again played at a high level and finished with 10 points, including 3 aces, registering 65% positive reception and 55% in attack.

The top scorer in the match was Poria with 16 points (7 aces!), followed by Dirlic with 14.

None of the visiting players managed to achieve a double-digit score.
Thus, coach Medei's boys will meet the Turkish Spor Toto from Ankara in the semi-finals, who today eliminated Niki Kolev's PAOK from the tournament. The first match is in Civitanova, with the dates to be announced later.
