The Licensing Commission of the National Men's Volleyball League admitted 11 clubs to participate in the WINBET Super Volley championship for the 2026/27 season. The decision was made at today's meeting, where all submitted documents for team licensing were reviewed.
Among those granted the right to participate are the current champion Levski Sofia, Neftochimic 2010 (Burgas), Lokomotiv Avia (Plovdiv), CSKA, Beroe 2016 (Stara Zagora), Pirin (Razlog), Montana Volley, Cherno More (Varna), Slavia, Dunav (Ruse), and Metalurg (Pernik).
The commission's decision not to admit Dea Volley (Burgas) to participate in the championship at this stage attracted particular attention. The NVL announced that the club had not met some of the licensing requirements stipulated in Article 19 of the current regulations.
Nevertheless, the Burgas club still has the opportunity to defend its place in the elite. The league management has provided a deadline until 12:00 PM on July 20, by which Dea Volley must submit the necessary documents and rectify the identified shortcomings.
