Bulgarian champion Levski Sofia continues to invest in young volleyball players, having attracted 17-year-old outside hitter Aleksandar Kovachev from the Stoichev - Kaziyski Volleyball Academy (VASK) to its squad.
The player, born on April 2, 2009, is already listed in the official registration of the "Blues" for the 2026/27 season in the Data Project system of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation.
Kovachev is 198 centimeters tall, with his profile indicating an attack reach of 338 centimeters and a block reach of 320 centimeters. The young outside hitter will wear jersey number 7.

His recruitment aligns with the capital club's policy of combining experienced players with promising young volleyball players. The team led by Nikolay Zhelyazkov has a significant number of players from the 2008 and 2009 age groups who are given the opportunity to develop in the environment of the reigning Bulgarian champion.
