Greek Aris continues to build an ambitious squad for their return to the Volley League, and according to the latest information, two Bulgarian volleyball players will join the team. After it became clear a few days ago that outside hitter Todor Valchev would continue his career in Thessaloniki, Greek media now also report an agreement with Bulgaria's opposite hitter Dimitar Dimitrov.
The 25-year-old Dimitrov, who in recent seasons played for French Montpellier and in South Korea, has been chosen to be the main scoring figure in the 'yellow and blacks' squad. At the same time, Valchev will bring significant experience in reception and attack after his strong performances with Lokomotiv Avia.
Besides the two Bulgarians, Aris has signed Dutch international Maarten van Garderen and Belarusian outside hitter Pavel Kuklinski, which demonstrates the club's serious ambitions for its first season back among Greece's elite.
Thus, Aris is shaping up to be one of the teams with a strong Bulgarian presence abroad in the 2026/27 season, and the partnership between Dimitar Dimitrov and Todor Valchev will be among the interesting highlights for Bulgarian volleyball fans.
