CPVC missed two match points against Deia Sport, but left Burgas with the victory.

CPVK achieved its first success in the Demax+ League after a dramatic away victory over Dea Sport with 3:2 (25:22, 24:26, 25:12, 23:25, 15:12) in the second round of the championship. The team from the capital twice took the lead in the sets, but had to go through a tie-break to break the resistance of the hosts.
The match was marked by missed opportunities. Already in the second set, CPVK had two set points at 24:22, but conceded four consecutive points and allowed the Burgas team to equalize.
This did not discourage the guests, who played their strongest part in the third set. They limited their opponent to just 12 points and again took the lead in the score.
The real drama occurred in the fourth set. Dea Sport had a comfortable lead, but squandered it and found themselves trailing at 20:23. CPVK was only two points away from the final victory when the Burgas team made a series of five consecutive points and sent the match into a tie-break.
In the decisive set, the team from the capital quickly built a 5:1 lead, but this time they failed to maintain it. The hosts reached 9:9 and even took the lead, before CPVK found the strength for a final comeback and finished the match with 15:12.
The five-set clash brought the first two points of the season for the capital's team and moved them up to sixth place in the provisional standings. Dea Sport won their first point, but remained ninth.
The match also showed how costly missed opportunities can be. CPVK was close to a 3:1 victory, but instead had to fight another battle in the tie-break, while Dea Sport failed to turn their latest comeback into a complete turnaround.
