Japan will also "rise" in the final - a great 3-0 victory over Slovenia, a clash with France for the title

Another phenomenal match for the Japanese volleyball players – this time, Slovenia was the victim.

Japan is the second finalist in this season's Volleyball Nations League, after deservedly defeating the team led by Gheorghe Crețu with a 3:0 game score (25:21, 27:25, 31:29). Philip Blain's proteges controlled the game on the court for almost the entire match, thus not leaving Slovenia many chances to win more than a single set.

The first set was won quite comfortably by the Japanese with 25:21, as their play in all elements was excellent. At the beginning of the second set, their dominance continued, but Slovenia recovered, temporarily turning the score in their favor. In the end, however, Japan managed to take this part as well, after bringing out its main weapon – the serve, with which they closed the set and took a 2:0 lead. The third set again started better for the Japanese, but this time Slovenia also played strongly on the serve. This brought them a total of 4 set points, but they failed to get back into the match. Japan won the marathon third set with 31:29 and closed the match with 3:0.

"The Land of the Rising Sun" will meet France tomorrow in the final in the Polish city of Lodz, where the Final Eight is taking place. France earlier today defeated host Poland in an extremely dramatic match with 3:2. The final clash in the Volleyball Nations League can be watched live tomorrow from 22:00 on Max Sport. Before that, from 19:00, Poland and Slovenia will meet in a match for the bronze medals – also live on Max Sport channels.
