The Polish women's national team recorded a second consecutive victory in this year's edition of the Volleyball Nations League. After the dramatic 3:2 success over Belgium in their first match, Stefano Lavarini's trainees this time left no doubt about their superiority and outplayed the Czech Republic 3:0 (25:22, 25:22, 25:20).
The Poles controlled the course of the match for most of the time, and although the Czechs put up serious resistance in the first two sets, the favorite managed to close the match without complications.
Scorers
For the Czech Republic, the most effective scorer was Helena Grozer with 13 points, while Magdalena Mlejnkova added 9.
For Poland, Aleksandra Lukasik finished with 15 points, and Martyna Lampkowska scored 13.
Team Statistics
| Indicator | Czech Republic | Poland |
|---|---|---|
| Attack | 39 | 51 |
| Block | 7 | 6 |
| Serve | 3 | 1 |
| Points from opponent's errors | 15 | 17 |
| Total points | 64 | 75 |
| Digs | 74 | 76 |
| Reception | 66 | 60 |
| Set | 114 | 118 |
Poland made the difference mainly in offense, where they scored 51 points against 39 for the Czech Republic. Although the Czechs had an advantage in blocking (7:6) and serving (3:1), higher efficiency in attack and a smaller number of their own errors allowed Lavarini's team to control the score. The two teams were almost equal in terms of digs (76:74), which indicates a high level of defensive play and long rallies.
With this success, Poland continues undefeated in the tournament and solidifies its ambitions for a place among the leading teams in this year's Nations League. The Czech Republic, on the other hand, showed good moments but failed to find enough arguments against their more skilled opponent.
