One of the most promising Bulgarian volleyball players, Viktoria Ninova, is taking the next important step in her career. The national team's libero is part of the extended squad for the Women's Nations League, and from the new season, she will continue her development in the USA with the University of Cincinnati team.
The news comes at a crucial moment for the young athlete. Ninova was among the key figures in Bulgaria's golden generation, which won the U18 European title and the U19 World Championship, and logically transitioned to women's volleyball last year.
At the club level, she leaves a significant mark with the CSKA team. Last season, Ninova was part of the squad that won bronze medals in the women's championship, establishing herself as one of the most reliable figures in reception and defense.
The choice of Cincinnati is not accidental. The university competes in the Big 12 – one of the strongest conferences in collegiate sports, which guarantees a high level of competition and an intense game rhythm. For the Bulgarian, this will be an opportunity to adapt to a more physical style of play and take the next step in her development.
At the same time, Cincinnati's program is on the rise, which opens up a real chance for Ninova to quickly establish herself and get a significant role in the team. Such an environment often proves most suitable for athletes with ambition and potential.
