Turkish Göztepe continues to upgrade its coaching staff before the new season in the Sultanlar League. The Izmir club brought in Mustafa Kılınç as assistant coach, who in recent years worked for Russian "Proton" Saratov
– a team where Bulgarian national player Hristina Vuchkova plays. This is not a surprise, as the current head coach of the Turkish team, Radoslav Arsov, was part of that league from 2022 to 2024 and has contacts there.
Kılınç arrives at Göztepe after five seasons at "Proton", where between 2021 and 2026 he rose from statistician to assistant coach. It was during this period that Hristina Vuchkova was also part of the Russian team's roster, which placed the Turkish specialist in an environment with high demands and serious competition.
The Russian Super League is considered one of the strongest championships in Europe, with an emphasis on tactical discipline and detailed game analysis
– elements in which Kılınç has significant practical experience.
In his career, Kılınç also has experience at the national level. In 2024, he is an assistant coach for the Russian national team, which during this period does not participate in official international tournaments. Earlier, he also worked as a statistician for the national team of Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, he has been part of the staff of clubs in Turkey and Kazakhstan, including Zhetysu, Kuzeyboru, and Manisa BBSK, which shapes his profile as a specialist with broad international experience.
Meanwhile, Göztepe also continues its player selection. The club reached an agreement for next season with outside hitter Yushan Juan, born in 2003.
She last played for Chinese Fujian Anxi Tieguanyin, and before that, she represented the Italian teams Omag-MT San Giovanni in Marignano and Honda Olivero San Bernardo Cuneo. Juan is also part of the Chinese national team.
