Coaching change and transfer mark the new cycle in Maritsa

Maritsa Plovdiv is on the verge of serious changes, with a coaching change on the agenda that will set the direction for the team's development after another championship season.
At this moment there is no official announcement from the club, but it is almost certain that Maritsa's new head coach will be Italian. The decision is aimed at a model close to leading European practices and ambitions for a more significant presence in international tournaments.
The current coach Ahmetcan Erşimşek is practically certain to leave. Expectations are for him to continue his club career in Turkey, with Kuzeyboru being the most probable destination. The Turkish specialist has already made a step at the national level, officially becoming an assistant coach for the Netherlands women's national team under Felix Koslowski. After his inclusion in the Bulgarian national team did not materialize, he found realization in one of the established European programs.
Maritsa is also facing a serious loss in its squad. One of the key figures – Iva Dudova – is on the verge of a transfer to the Turkish powerhouse Eczacıbaşı Dynavit. Moving to a club of such caliber is a logical development for the national team player, but it puts the champions in a situation where they need to restructure their core and seek new solutions in offense.
