Veni Antov and Turkoa dropped out in the quarterfinals after a second loss to Seth

Turcoing ended its participation in the French championship playoffs after losing the second quarter-final match against Sète. Venislav Antov's team lost at home 0:3 (23:25, 20:25, 21:25) in the "Pierre Dumortier" hall and was eliminated from the competition.
After two consecutive seasons outside the top ranks, Turcoing showed growth but failed to advance past the quarter-final phase. Sète, on the other hand, proceeds to the semi-finals, where they will face tougher competition.
The match started evenly, with Turcoing staying close to their opponent in the first set, but in crucial moments, Sète showed greater composure and won it 25:23.
In the second set, the visitors already controlled the events on the court and extended their lead after a 25:20 win. The third set followed the same logic – an even score until the middle, but better efficiency from Sète at the end for the final 25:21 and closing out the match.

The statistics clearly highlight the difference in class in this match – Sète dominated in blocking (9 to 2) and attack (51% to 36%). These two elements proved decisive. Tourcoing had an advantage in serving and points from opponent's errors, but failed to compensate for the lack of effectiveness in attack.
Sète advances to the semi-finals, where they will face Montpellier, who also successfully passed their quarter-final. A clash between two in-form teams is shaping up, and Sète will need to maintain their high level in attack and blocking if they want to reach the final.
