CSKA broke Beroe and arranged a semi-final with Levski

CSKA qualified for the semifinals of efbet Super Volley, after winning the decisive third match of the 1/4-final series against Beroe with 3:0 (25:16, 25:21, 25:23) in Vasil Simov Hall. Thus, 'the Reds' closed the series with 2:1 wins and advance, where their eternal rival Levski awaits them.

Match Progression

CSKA took control in the very first set, quickly building a 12:6 lead, and strong blocking play increased the difference to 19:11. 'The Reds' dominated both in attack and at the net, which allowed them to close the set comfortably with a convincing 25:16.
In the second set, the scenario was different, as Beroe managed to take a 13:10 lead. However, a crucial series of 6 consecutive points followed on Spas Bairev's serve, which turned the tide. Until the end, CSKA maintained the initiative and, with more stable attacking play, closed the set at 25:21.
The third set was the most contested, with the game going point for point until the middle of the set. An ace by Teodor Todorov and a subsequent block gave the hosts an advantage, but Beroe equalized at 17:17. In the decisive moments, CSKA showed greater efficiency and composure to close the match with 25:23.

Individual Performance

The MVP of the match was Teodor Todorov, who finished with 12 points (+11), including 1 ace, 2 blocks, and an impressive 82% attack efficiency.

CSKA definitively outperformed their opponent at the net, with twice as many blocks (12 against 6) proving to be a key factor. The difference in attack efficiency (51% against 36%) also clearly demonstrates the "reds'" superiority in the finishing phase. Although Beroe gained more points from opponent errors, this did not compensate for their weaker organization in offense and blocking.

In the semifinals, CSKA will face champions Levski in a best-of-5 series. The first match is scheduled for April 2nd, with the "blues" having home-court advantage.
Beroe finishes the season in 5th place, retaining their position from the regular season.
