Le Cannet with a third consecutive victory in France, Darina Naneva remained on the bench

Le Cannet continues its successful run in the French women's volleyball championship. The team, which includes Bulgarian player Darina Naneva, recorded its third consecutive victory after defeating Bordeaux Mérignac 3:0 (25:17, 25:18, 25:23) as a guest in a match from the seventh round.
The match was played at the Sports Palace in Bordeaux in front of 854 spectators, and Marco Fenoglio's proteges controlled the first two sets. The hosts put up more serious resistance in the third part, but the guests won 25:23 and closed the match without losing a set.
Bulgarian volleyball player Darina Naneva was in Le Cannet's squad with number 30, but remained on the bench and did not get playing time.
The most effective player for the winners was Ceyda Kuyan with 12 points, including 3 successful blocks. Chloé Mayer added 9 points, also with 3 blocks and 2 aces. Anđela Grković and Sun Jie finished with 7 points each.
For the hosts, Aimée Lemire scored 11 points, and Annika Koivuniemi added 10.
Le Cannet finished the match with 41% attack efficiency against 34% for Bordeaux, also outperforming their opponent in block points – 8 against 7.
With this success, Le Cannet now has five wins and two losses since the start of the championship. It is particularly impressive that the team's last three victories were achieved without losing a set – against Chamalières, France Avenir, and Bordeaux.
The next challenge for Darina Naneva and her teammates is an away game against Saint-Dié on November 14.
