Volleyball Club Dobrudzha 07 will not take advantage of the opportunity for promotion to efbet Super Volley and will continue its participation in the Higher League next season. The news was confirmed tovolleyweek.bgby the club's president and coach, Dimitar Marinkov, who emphasized that the decision was not surprising.
According to him, this is a strategy laid out at the beginning of the season.
"The goal is clear - to develop young players and establish a more stable financial foundation so that we can join the best teams in Bulgaria starting next season," commented Marinkov.
The management of the Dobrich club explained that the choice is dictated by the desire to ensure sustainability in their work, the development of young volleyball players, and gradual preparation for a return to the elite of Bulgarian volleyball.
According to Marinkov, with the support of the municipality and local businesses, the club has already managed to cover most of its accumulated debts. At the same time, the youth academy continues to function normally, with conditions provided for training and participation in competitions.
Dobrudzha 07 further emphasizes that young players will have the opportunity to gain valuable game experience in various age groups, which is a key element of the club's long-term development. Plans are aimed at creating optimal organizational and training conditions that will allow volleyball players to fully concentrate on their performance on the court.
The Executive Director of NVL, Hristo Apostolov, stated tovolleywee.bgthat the format of efbet Super Volley for the 2026/27 season will be further discussed by the league's management. At the same time, he clarified that the playout match between Dunav (Ruse) and Metalurg (Pernik) will proceed as previously announced.
