The Italian team Megabox Vallefoglia started its participation in the playoff tournament for European qualification with a success, after defeating Cuneo as a guest with 3:1 (25:21, 27:25, 30:32, 25:23).

The match is not related to the already won Challenge Cup 2026, but is part of the domestic Serie A1 playoffs, which determine the last participant in European tournaments for the next season.

Vallefoglia controlled the first two sets and took a 2:0 lead, but the hosts from Cuneo managed to bring back the intrigue after a dramatic third set, won 32:30. In the fourth set, the guests closed the match and achieved a valuable success in Group B.
The top scorers for the winners were Erblira Bici with 26 points and Loveth Omoruyi with 14.

The Bulgarian Mikaela Stoyanova entered the game in the fourth set but failed to score any points. The other Bulgarian player in the squad – Tsvetomira Mitkova, did not participate in the match.

With this victory, Vallefoglia joins the battle for first place in the group, which grants the right to participate in a final for a Challenge Cup quota next season.
