Levski 2005 Karlovo entered the Premier League after a dramatic final against Aitos

Levski 2005 (Karlovo) is the new member of the Super League, after defeating Aitos 3:2 (23:25, 25:23, 25:21, 21:25, 15:11) in the A NVG final. The match in the capital's 'Hristo Botev' hall lasted 2 hours and 15 minutes and offered a serious dose of tension and comebacks.

The nominal guests from Aitos started the match better and took the first set with 25:23, dictating the pace early on. However, there was a reaction from Karlovo, who tightened their ranks and gradually imposed their rhythm. This allowed them to turn the match around after successes in the second and third sets – 25:23 and 25:21.

In the third set, Levski 2005 suffered a serious blow after their middle blocker Georgi Barbichukov got injured and left the game. Despite this, the team from Karlovo maintained concentration and continued to dictate events on the court.

Aitos did not give up and in the fourth set took advantage of their opponent's wavering to equalize after 25:21. Towards the end of the set, Karlovo came within just one point, but failed to prevent the match from going to a tie-break.

In the decisive fifth set, both teams started evenly, but Levski 2005 gradually took the initiative and did not allow a comeback. Karlovo closed out the match at 15:11 and celebrated the valuable success, which brings them promotion to the Super League.
