Russian volleyball recorded an achievement that has not been marked in the history of the Superleague until now. Lokomotiv Novosibirsk played the entire regular season in front of a completely sold-out arena, with all its home matches taking place at full capacity in the stands.
The curious fact was highlighted by the popular Telegram channel "Fanat Voleybola" (Volleyball Fan), which drew attention to the unique series.
Fifteen matches – fifteen sell-outs.
The record was finally established on March 13, when in a match from the 30th round, the Novosibirsk team hosted Yaroslavich.
The hosts left no doubt about their superiority and won convincingly:
Lokomotiv Novosibirsk – Yaroslavich 3:0 (25:19, 25:19, 25:20)
Thus, Lokomotiv Arena was completely filled for the 15th consecutive time this season – with not a single empty seat in the stands.
The maximum has been reached.
Interestingly, this record practically cannot be improved. In the regular season of the Russian Superleague, each team plays 15 home matches, meaning Lokomotiv has achieved the absolute maximum.
Therefore, the achievement can only be repeated, but not surpassed.
Volleyball as an event in Novosibirsk.
Full stands are not a coincidence. In recent years, Lokomotiv Novosibirsk has turned its home matches into a real event for the city, and the atmosphere in Lokomotiv Arena is among the most impressive in the Russian Superleague.
The combination of a strong team, good organization, and loyal fans led to a result that is now entering the championship statistics.
15 home matches.
15 full arenas.
A record that already has its place in the history of the Russian Volleyball Superleague.
