Yoandy Leal might return to the club with which he built the strongest period of his career – Sada Cruzeiro. According to information from Brazil, the management of the Minas Gerais giant is considering an option to sign the 37-year-old outside hitter for the 2026/2027 season.
Currently, Leal is a player for "Bulgarian" Halkbank (Turkey), and his potential return to Brazil would be significant news, as it was at Sada where he became one of the leading figures in world volleyball.
25 trophies with Sada Cruzeiro
Leal played for Sada Cruzeiro between 2012–2018, when he won 25 trophies – regional, national, and international. After parting ways with the Brazilian club, his career continued in Europe, passing through:
Civitanova (Italy)
Modena (Italy)
Piacenza (Italy)
Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (Russia) under the guidance of Plamen Konstantinov
and currently Halkbank (Turkey) under the guidance of Radostin Stoychev
During his time at Sada, Leal also completed the naturalization process, which opened his path to the Brazilian national team. He participated in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024.
Halkbank and the Brazilian connection
The topic surrounding Leal's future comes amid rumors that Halkbank is interested in signing another Brazilian – Darlan Souza, which further heightens attention to the Turkish club's squad selection for the upcoming seasons.

Outlook
Leal's potential return to Sada Cruzeiro in 2026/27 would be one of the most interesting transfer topics in the Brazilian market, and if such a move materializes, the club would add experience and class to its roster with a well-known name from its most successful period in its history.
